I have an issue with not getting the Warnings messages for update and append
queries. I have tried setwarnings in a macro, in an autoexec macro, in VB
code, and I still cannot get the warning messages back.

I can't seem to track down any setting which may be causing this. Any ides?

Go to Tools|Options|Edit/Find tab. Under Confirm is the box for Action
Queries checked?

That did it. I don't know how it was unchecked, and I don't know how I
missed that setting. Both probably ID10T issues. Thanks Wayne.

Unfortunately I'm having the exact same issue and your suggestion didn't work
for me. I do have a couple of Macros which shut off Warning Messages but they
all turn them back on at the end of the Macro. I'm confused to why this
suddenly started happening. Any other suggestions?

I Compacted and Repaired the database, exited the database ... I opened a
whole different database and it is still happening. In the database if I make
a Query change it doesn't ask me if I want to save the changes ... it just
saves them automatically. I'm guessing this must be some kind of Access
setting.

Wow, it must be some ghosts in the machine ... I rebooted my PC and now it is
not doing it anymore. That was very, very strange!
