How do I disable this feature? Some sites (e.g., on-line
databases) do not allow the "Back" button to go directly
back to a page without refreshing the page first, really
annoying when searching several items within a search.
Thanks for the help!

If anyone knows a local setting for this, please advise!

However, in my experience this is either:

1. A time-out setting controlled at the source. Some
sources impose an absolute time limit, some only look at
idle time.

2. The page you're looking at wasn't a real page with a
simple URL, it was a display custom-assembled for you by
a complex instruction in the link you clicked.
And "something"
got cleared so you can't restore the connection.

For either of these, it can't hurt to contact the sites
you're having the problem with. They can tell you more,
though whether they "will" is always a variable.

Cheers,
Ken
