Warning missing when opening same file

Hesso,

I'm using W2K server and W2K workstation and have a pb on
file sharing from the serveur.
On certain file the server would give no warning when 2 or
more user open it simultaneously and no lock on the file.
Therefore, last user to close and save will erase any
modification made by another user.

Does anybody have an idea ?
