A close friend of mine offered this group who writes freeware upon request
a rather nice, profitable business deal. His company develops software of
all sorts but he was attempting to assist a young startup. At first, "Tim"
the so-called president of Solen Technologies, lied about his age. When
pressed, he admitted to being a minor. At this point, he refused to speak
even on a collect call or via Skype "because his employer would not allow
that." "Tim" is not employed, he later admitted.
Doing the right and legal thing, he told "Tim" (not his real name), that he
would need to discuss this arrangement with his parents. "Tim" did not
respond for several days then after, originally accepting the lucrative
assignment, he sends and email and completely backs out of the deal. His
"employees" don't have time, "Tim" says.
Solen Technologies is a scam and not a very good one at that. If these are
really kids, then this post will teach them a serious business lesson. You
are only as good as your word and liars get caught in their lies.
