From another post! In reference to making your own wallpaper:

There is a program I used to use called Corkboard. You could pin all kinds
of things to the desktop and it was really handy. They had a very good free
version. I just went to their website and it looks like they are developing
a new version. You might check it out and sign up to be notified when it is
ready. www.xxxxboard.com (munged)

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT install CorkBoard!

Because I am very well protected by both SpyBot Search and Destroy and
Microsoft Anti Spyware I decided to test this out.

I have not seen this amount of warnings and danger notices popup from
installing an application in quite a long time.

I repeat, DO NOT install Corkboard!

I am now going to restore my drive image created last night at 8:00 PM and
be back where I was before playing with this nasty program!

Be warned!

If you knew as much as you think you know,
You would realize that you don't know what you thought you knew!

So you are advertising for Corkboard now? How good is it really?

Actually, I'm more interested in the XXXXboard you mentioned! It has
one more "X" than the one I have now! That must be like my guitar amp I
paid extra for because the volume went up to 11!

Now you're a musician? I thought you were a photographer.

Now, why don't you post an example of your music to go along with the slide
show on your web site?

May I recommend this instead!

I have been using this for over 3 years without any trouble. It is a free -
clean - program called "Stickies". It is available from
http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/stickies/index.html

It is based on sticky notes. You can have permanent, timed, colored, use
colored text and text of your choice. It is amazingly customizable.

Give it a try. Remember - it is clean. No spyware or adware.

where do you guys get all those little arrows

What ever you do, do not install Dart Board, not on your laptop at least!
The display broke after the nephews got tired of shootin the suction cup
darts at it & hit it a few times with the bow and arrow with the big suction
cups. The loud music seemed to excite them into a stupid frenzy. Stickies,
yea shure.

Not sure if Kurt is a musician, but he was referring to the movie "This is
Spinal Tap."
I think he intended some kind of irony.

Ah! I never saw that movie or I would have known. That's Kurt! He can only
be direct about one topic! (-:

LOL!
Yes, a little *too* direct, sometimes.

No such thing. There is only *too* indirect, by my way of thinking. :)

Kurt,

One thing I expected you to call me to task for - every photographer I
compared you to in my parody is famous - but DEAD! (-:

Stickies is indeed an excellent little utility, and $24.95 cheaper than the
electronic version of Post-It ® notes..

I was recalling your reference to your "cheeks."
As I recall, it shut your opponent up rather abruptly.

Sure is a great little app. Don't let anyone else in the family know about
it, thought!!

Was there another program like corkboard that you found that worked and
wasn't an add ware program? Also I'm looking for something like corkboard
that can be used to post messages through the network onto someone's
computer. Like physically using a sticky note. Anyone?

Try:

From the run line: compmgmt.msc
Right click on the top of the tree (Computer Management (Local)
Choose All Tasks and pick Send Console Message

Is that what you are looking for?

I think that IS what I'm looking for. I need to add the other people's
computers from the network. I'm not sure how to do that though. Can you
help me with that?
