Hard drives have a small amount of ram used to store data that's regularly
needed. This is called a cache. Not quite sure why yours would become
disabled but to reenable it right click my computer in windows explorer or
from your desktop. This will bring up system properties window. Click the
hardware tab then device manager. You will see a list of your hardware
devices installed on your computer. Look for disk drives and click the +
sign this will reveal your hard drives. You may only have one or you might
have more. Whatever you have right click each one then click properties.
Click the policies tab and you should then see a box to enable write caching
on the drive. You might have to reboot for it to take effect. If you find
that it won't allow you to enable it, have a look in your bios settings to
see if write caching has been disabled there. If your bios settings are
correct and you still can't enable caching you might have a hard drive
fault. You would need to download a program from the hard drive manufacturer
and test your hard drive to see if it has any detectable faults.

Repost with results or if you need any more help\info.
