When I attempt to start a program from my desktop I get
the following message:
Some files can harm your computer. If the file
information below looks suspicious, or you do not fully
trust the source, do not open or save this file.
File name: xxxxx.exe (my xxx's)
File type: Application
From: H:\xxx\xxx
This type of file could harm your computer if it contains
malicious code.
Would you like to open the file or save it to your
computer?
Open Cancel More Info are the only choices.
Always ask before opening this type of file is checked
and greyed out making it unavailable to change the
selection.
How do I clear the check box? I have looked for file
associations for .EXE files and none are available in the
folder options/file types selections. This is annoying
since I use several programs from the network that
display an identical dialog box before allowing me to
open the program. This is commercial accounting software
and their tech support people have been no help. Others
on the networ do not experience this problem and they
have identical systems to mine. Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance,
