Wanting to learn Visual Basic 6.0

Hi Everyone,
I have been given the go ahead for my company to pay for my training of Visual Basic. I have found some tutorial and I need to find a cheap copy of Visual Basic 6.0 so that I can see whether I will be able to work it.
I have not had any programming training or experience before.
Has anyone any ideas?

There are a good few sites to learn online, although I'd suggest picking up a cheap VB book. I learnt ASP online just by viewing simple tutorials.

You can get a free VB 6 trial from Microsoft for 60 days - I can't remember the site, but if you google for it you'll find it easily enough I used that to get to grips with it last year to see if it was worth buying.

How easy was it to pick up? Did it take long to get the hang of it?

The basics can be learnt in just a week or so, but the rest is just trial and error - and lots of referencing!
