Wanted: Tool for editing Exif headers (time, and latitude/ longitude)

A

Andy Mabbett

Hi,

I want to tag some of my images with geographical data (longitude and
latitude); I understand that this is possible using the Exif metadata.

I'm looking for a tool that will let me do that, to JPEG and tiff files,
without altering the image in any other way. If it will let e use
something like Google maps (via a web app) to find the location in
question, so much the better.

Also, I once forgot to reset the clock in my camera for daylight saving
time, so have a large number of images whose Exif data is thus one hour
out. Is there an application which will batch-change them all, adding or
subtracting one hour?

JHead: http://www.sentex.net/~mwandel/jhead/ supports relative changes
to the timestamp.

Unfortunately it can't add geographical data, unless you store them
as text in the comment-field.
