Want to verify Registration code

I am purchasing an copy of XP Pro, and would like to know
if there is any way to verify the registration code
before actually installing it.
It will be a gift for my father, and I want to make
absolutely certain that he will have no problems with the
operating system upon installation.

If you bought a genuine sealed original copy then you will not have any
other problems beyond ones related to the possible compatibility issue with
your fathers PC hardware and current software.
If the product is original then the code supplied is to, and valid.
