Want Task Pane on the right side in Word 2002

Hello

I have Windows 98 SE and Microsoft Word 2002 ( part of Office XP ).

Whenever I open Word the Task Pane appears on the left. I then have to drag
it to the right where I always want it. How can I make the Task Pane appear
on the right hand side of the document by default. Please help. Thank you.

Hmm. That's odd because it *is* on the right by default. You might try
rebuilding the Word Data key in the Registry (see instructions in
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm) or, in case
this is a setting saved in Normal.dot, renaming Normal.dot. Before you do
either, though, try starting Word with the /a switch (see
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm). If you get
the Task Pane where you expect it that way, then the problem is definitely
in either Normal.dot or the Registry, and you can proceed accordingly.
