Want one cell to show hyperlink from other cell

I'm trying to use this function =IF(TRUE,A1,HYPERLINK("")) to simpl
have one cell show the other cell which contains a hyperlink. When
use this code, the text shows, but the hyperlink does not and when
click, it says site not found. How can I get this to work
