want euro currency choice when formatting cells in excel 97

when formatting cells in excel 97 you have choices of most
currencies but not euro.
How do you get ? added to this list?

You can set up a custom format with any currency symbol. To get the Euro
symbol, assuming you have a Euro-enabled Arial font installed, hold down ALT
whilst typing 0128 on the keypad at the right of the keyboard (not the
number keys above the letters) and then release ALT. In the unlikely event
that your Arial font is not Euro-enabled, you can update via the Microsoft
web site.
