need euro currency in excel 97 when formatting cells

When you right click any cell you can choose format cells
and then currency.
In this list of currencies you have many $, £ , mk , lire,
etc etc but not euro. Where can you find a update?
Some years ago it was present in the microsoft pages but
it has been removed and not added to sp1 or sp2 for office
97.
I do NOT need to type the euro symbol. I have it on the
keyboard and in the true type fonts.
I need it as a common choice for the currency of the cell.
