Want default meeting duration to be twenty minutes, not thirty minutes, etc.

I do not wish to have the MS/Outlook software dictate that meetings must be 30, 60, 90, etc. minutes in duration.
I do not wish the software to dictate that the meeting must begin on the hour and half hour.

How can I change these defaults?

No, I do not wish to continue to override the default for each and every meeting. This is counterproductive. Also, the process of overriding the defaults on a meeting-by-meeting basis is very sloppy and requires numerous keystrokes, again counterproductive.

Outlook requires a default - which is determined by the time scale you use.
So if you change the time scale, you can change it to the most used option.
Overriding the defaults is easy - tab to the field and type a new end time -
you don't even need to enter the colon, just the new time in 1230 format
(for 12:30 PM). You can add a or p if you want, but it's usually not
required.
