If you think Vista users are having problems head on over to the open
sores urbuttoo ng:

alt.os.linux.ubuntu

It's deja vu all over again! :-)

The world is full of people who shouldn't even have a computer. I
REALLY miss the person using the nym Miss Perspicacia Tick who
occasionally offered this advice to people who really needed it:

"Please pack your computer in the original box and return it to the
store, tell them you're too stupid to have a computer."

Wish others were honest enough to offer that advice here to those who
need it.

Linux, Vista, etc. are the same, if you won't RTFM or THINK, dammit!
you'll have trouble.

Oh yeah I remember her! I think her real name is Sarah...something. She
used to tell everyone in the MS Pub ng to google for the answer. I think
she really and truly has mental problems.

Yep, that's what happens when you get a flood of Wintards trying to flee
Fista. They try Ubuntu but have a hard time losing all their old Wintard
habits. Eventually those who stick with it and purposely forget all the
bullshit Microsoft has taught them about computers, get to have a real
operating system running on their computers. It's called Ubuntu. You on the
other hand, well <snort> should just stick with the toy operating system
you pretend to know so much about.

Oh Doris, I glad you have a friend in Miss Perspicacia Tick.
You two seem made for each other!

Most people, need to do more than just surf the Internet.
A toy OS like urbuttoo is fine for just doing that.
However, at least 97% of all people use something other than linux on
their desktop because they need to do more than just surf the Internet.

Well at least this proves your "Linux experience" never got beyond starting
up Firefox. Poor Frankie, what a lame Wintard. <snort>

Of course Ubuntu will be as successful as that other much touted replacement
for Windows - Lindows/Linspire, no wait they are both doing, so badly that
Linspire has already had to form a "Technology Partnership" as announced on
the Linspire home page - pity they can' even get the link to work to the
announcement.
Linux on the home users desktop will continue to be nothing more then a
niche player for geeks and techies who want to "fight the power" the average
user who just wants things to work with software they buy and use everyday
in the office will still be best served by Windows.

(How well is Linspire doing on home users PCs? - go look at Wal-Mart one of
their flagship shippers of PCs with Linspire preinstalled - have a look on
their website - find many ? Well look hard enough and you'll find one -
hell it's not even a searchable option - why? because the ultimate consumer
store sells to the public what the public wants - and that is PCs with
Vista)[/QUOTE]

I: surf the internet, correspond regularly with several folks, prepare and
receive office docs including word processing, spreadsheets, and desktop
presentations; perform software support functions, play music, watch
videos, send presentations, create, and update five different web sites,
run a computer consulting businsess and other miscellaneous functions -
all from Linux computers running Ubuntu.

Hardly, Miss Tick was never a troll as is "Doris Day". While she had
no patience with fools, she knew her stuff and could be very helpful at
times, unlike the "Doris Day" troll.

Frank will you stop these types of posts. I think if people want to use
Ubuntu or any other linux distro (distribution) then they would go and find
one.

Frank doesn't take well to receiving advice. Neither does Justin.
Actually few fanboys listen at all. Which explains why they're fanboys
in the first place.

Well Sasha, I guess I'm a little confused as to why the linux loser
trolls (just a hand full of losers) are posting in this MS ng about linux.
Especially Ubuntu. What is that all about?
Maybe you could shed some light on this matter.

It would be far more entertaining if one of the wack jobs like you
explained why you simply can't resist reading and responding to what
amounts to troll posts. You obviously are drawn to such posts like a
mouth to a flame and naturally I love to play with losers like you
purely for my amusement.

ROTFLMAO!

You keep saying that as if you need to convince yourself.

Took you long enough to cry about this. Now dance troll!

Poor little Justin, the wannabe computer expert bawling like a baby.
Again.

Hi everybody,

Why can't we simply ignore attacks on Windows by other OS people ?
And violatinf the name of another OS is nothing to be proud of you know : we
don't like it neither if we others writing Windoze, Micro$oft and the alike.

Let's cut all that crap and help one another with Windows issues, that is
what a lot of people in this ng are so good at.

Most recent idiotic quote added to KICK (Klassic Idiotic Caption Kooks):
"It would be nice if there was a check to see if you were running an
activated/validated version of Windows before you were allowed to post
in any of these news groups. If you're not activated/validated your post
automatically gets deleted.
That would get rid of the Linsux Luzzzzzzzzers once and for all."
