Device manager shows yellow triangle beside this entry associated with
NIVIDA Networking Adapters. Windows cannot load driver for this
hardware. This appeared after SP1 installation failure. Tried system
restore three times it failed to restore on each occasion. Can this
entry be restored? No problems are apparent since noticing this.
Thanks

John,

I had this same problem when I uninstalled the SP1 RC Refresh 2 service
pack. It's my understanding that it loads this driver onto a system for
forward looking compatibility . I did not have this entry in Device Manager
prior to it being installed on my system and even to this day it has nothing
to do with my system's hardware. It was loaded into my system under Network
Adapters during my install of SP1 RC Refresh 2. There must have been
something on my system at that time that possibly required it for future
use. I simply deleted it with no detrimental effects.
This entry was not loaded into my system after I did a clean install of
my Vista Ultimate x86 and installed SP1 RTM. I just checked again and it is
not there.
When I was researching the cause of this I happened upon the article
listed in the link below. I hope this helps you solve the problem.

John,

No problem. I'm glad you got the problem fixed. Sorry for the double
post. I waited and waited and waited for my reply to be posted and it
wasn't. I reposted it.
