wallpaper that haunts forever??

hi
i seem to be having some issues with wallpaper! i used a picture as a
wallpaper for a while but after changing the wallpaper some few months ago,
the picture continues to appear just before the xp welcome sign everytime my
laptop starts up. any ideas?????
PLEASE HELP!! ironically its a picture of the corpse bride film and its
starting to scare me! x

Ones a BMP (prior to logon) and the other a JPEG shown through Active Desktop (after logon).

Normal.

I never knew the technical reason (thanks, David!) but this has been
going on since Win95. Just set your desktop wallpaper to None, Apply.
Then set your desktop wallpaper to the one you want, Apply + OK. That
should do it.

i tried both suggestions. sorry malke but it didnt work. ramesh, i dont think
it works either. i tried but i couldnt find what to change. HELP!!!

Type in Start, Run:

cmd /k reg query "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop" /v Wallpaper

Post the output here.

HELP!!!

Then maybe you didn't describe the problem accurately. Try again after
you've gone to the link Ramesh gave you. Remember that we can't see
your computer from here. Are you talking about the boot screen or a
flash of older wallpaper before the desktop displays the chosen
wallpaper?
