Wallpaper not refreshing

Hi all,

Our company desktop wallpaper set by GP^'s was absolutely fien on W2K SP4
RU1. After migrating (fresh install) to XP SP2 (all latest Sec fixes), the
desktp wallpaper does not refresh, means only a 5th of the wallpaper is
shown, the users need to right click and choose refresh, than it displays
correctly. We use a jpg, all GPO's are set correctly for this, unchanged
from W2K .

any ideas ?

Some photos that I want to use for wallpaper I have to change from
..jpg to .bmp, save as, using paint or some such app.
C:\Windows\web\wallpaper\saved.bmp
