wallpaper displayed at startup

When I boot up my computer it displays a wallpaper for
just a second before switching to the standard wallpaper I
have set. It is getting annoying, how do I get this to
stop happening? Thanks!
 
Turn OFF Active desktop, then set the Wallpaper/background to None,
Apply, and then turn Active desktop back ON.
