Background

Windows 2000 DC (native 2000 domain mode)


Problem

The system log is reporting an error with the description:

"Attempt to set date prior to 1995 aborted".


Has anyone seen this before. I'm not sure why this would be occuring or how
to start troubshooting it. Thannk you in advance for any insight.

either someone tried changing the date before 1995 (a bit doubtful)
or your server received a malformed packet from a time server that
translated to an incorrect date causing this error
