Running XP and have not been able to use IE recently - email etc works fine but cant visit web sites. Finally discovered a virus yesterday - W32.Bobax.C. Followed the instructions from symantec although there were no changes to my registry file to remove. HAVE QUARANTINED THE OFFENDING FILE - 202.220.181(1).gif but still cant access the web. The bulletin says that the dll is inserted into IE? Have downloaded the LSASS vulnerability patch from microsoft but not installed yet as dont seem to have totally removed virus yet? Any suggestions

Have applied the patch and quarantined the virus but still cant use IE. There were no changes made to my registry, at least not in the areas nominated in the technical bulletin.
