Have approx 100 workstations and I need to deploy several
patches to the OS - I am pressumimg that the best way is
through group policy after converting the .exe to .msi and
assigning it - but if these patches require administrative
rights and the user logs on wont that fail if the user
doesnt have admin rights? or better still how do you get
around this? - maybe someone can point me in the right
direction - tia

You can use tip 4141 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsiinc.com
to run patches with command line switches, tip 1981.

See tip 4195.
