W2k/Novell ?

Can W2k be used to logon to a Novell server 6.1 without installing
Netware Client on the Windows PC? If so, a brief synopsis would be
appreciated.

No. To browse the tree you need to install the Novell client. If you
can't browse the tree you can't locate the user's context and login.
There is Native File Access, but that has to be configured on the server
and from what I've heard it has very limited functionality and doesn't
work all that great either. For full functionality in Netware 4.x and
above you need the Novell client.
