W2K Group Policy for Restricting USB Port Devices

Is there a way in W2K Machine level Group Policy to
restrict/limit the type of USB device that can be allowed
to connect to a PC's USB port?

For example, we don't want W2K to automatically allow the
recognition and subsequent installation of the device
drivers for a USB memory drive whenever such a device is
plugged in to the USB port of our W2K workstations. We
only want to limit the USB port to recognize a keyboard or
a mouse, and not allow/recognize/auto-install any other
USB device.

We tried disabling the plug and play service in W2K as
well as switched off the PnP feature on the BIOS level but
USB memory drives still automatically install their own
drivers as soon as these are plugged into the USB port.

Does anyone here have experience on this? Your
tip/suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't believe that this can be done in Windows 2000.

Here is how to do it in XP:
