w2k cant detect usb card reader

hi all

1 user's w2k cant detect usb card reader recently. when plug in, "!" display
at device manager, then i update the driver, but error prompt after update
complete, so still cant detect the reader.

but i plug in a flash drive into the same usb port, no problem and it works.
and i plug the usb reader to another pc, it works too, no problem.

i think is the w2k problem. anyone have idea how to fix this ?

I got this error after update the driver:

"An error occured during the installation of the device
The installation failed because a function driver was not specified for this
device instance.
The drvier for this device are not installed. (code 28)"

How to repair ?
