Vuescan starting display program

I have the latest level of VueScan. It worked properly for two days, and
now each time I save a *.jpg file the file is displayed in Microsoft
Explorer whatever I put in the files properties.

How do I stop VueScan from initiating a file open when it is done?
- I can't seem to find any particular parameter that controls this.
