vuescan uses dcraw to read, decipher and render RAW photo files. When/if
dcraw will support openraw, then so will (most likely) vuescan.

Well, currently there is no OpenRAW standard, only an initiative to
create one. Actually it is much more about complete documentation of
RAW formats so that software developers don't have to re-engineer
proprietary file formats .

Since the output of Vuescan is in JPEG and TIFF (RAW data are also
saved as TIFF), it already supports what OpenRAW.org wants.

As for the input the answer has been given.
