Is there a way to tweak Vuescan so it puts the scan in photoshop without
first saving a copy of the file? Thx

Can't you check the "external viewer" box and then uncheck the tif or
jpeg boxes so that it doesn't save anything?

I tried that. Seems like something needs to be saved for this to work the
way I want it to. I suppose I could just have it create a small thumbnail
print using jpg.

Why don't you want a file saved?

However, if you want to save disk space, use a folder to save the files
in and a small batch file (if you are on windows) that deletes the
contens on startup. Another way would be to use a flexible RAM disk,
that is automatically deleted on shutdown...

It does seem a "non-problem". I've had much more problem with what
you're asking for, lock-ups when attempting to save Photoshop dumps.

With my scanner I can either use it's stand-alone utility, that saves
files similar to Vuescan, or the Photoshop plug-in, which just deposits
the file into photoshop, for me to save. I had much problems with the
latter, so stick with the former.
