I have a PPTP VPN set up at work on my server. All clients can dail in
fine. I have a cable modem behind my Firewall/Router.

I have an XP Pro system which has NO issue connecting to the VPN.

My Laptop is running XP home. It WAS working previously, but now the
VPN will not connect, it replies that the remote server did not
respond.

WTF?

PS Both systems are DHCP clients, so have the same settings. I have no
firewall on the laptop, and I also went on a process kill frenzy, there
is nothing running on my system. I am ABSOLUTELY Stumped as to why my
lappie won't connect to the network.

PPS: THIS IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!

Is it possible the router at home limit one connection? To confirm it, reset the router and try the XP Home first.

VPN Issues Some routers may take just one VPN connection The remote access server does not accept a PPTP connection VPN client disconnection issues ...
