VPN Connections...

in xp when you have vpn connections defined you could goto Start > "Connect
To" and have the option to display the connections in a menu format like
control panel or computer etc... vista that has been removed and you have to
open the dialog up to connect...

ALSO in XP you could drag and drop the connections in the list to the
desktop to create a shortcut to the vpn on the desktop for not so savy users
that get scared of menus and dialogs... vista doesnt appear to have this
functionallity either

Right click on the network icon in the System Tray. Pick "Connect to a
network". You should see the VPN connections.

In the Network and Sharing Center click on "Manage network connections".
Right click on a VPN connection and pick "Create shortcut". Or just drag it
to the desktop.

I find managing VPNs much easier in Vista than XP.
