VPN Connection XP

All,

I have a user that can connect via VPN but cannot connect to any share when
he connected
i.e when he Start->
run->
SERVER_NAME

He gets server not available.

can anyone shed any light on this?

You haven't given us a lot of information, but check these:

1. Has the user account and password been created on the server?
2. If you are using special third-party VPN software, does the user
account and password have to be created from within the program and has
it been?
3. Is the user logging onto the domain when he starts his computer or is
he erroneously logging onto his local machine?
