VPN Behind Firewall

Hi Stafford,
What kind of firewall are you using? Generally speaking you just have to
make sure that port 1723 and GRE (protocol 47) packets get through the
firewall but you'd probably want to contact the vendor of your firewall
product for specifics.

The firewall and VPN is the same box in our office. I put the firewall
infront of the blocked ports (firewall). If I put the VPN under the
firewall, Id have to open the ports to get it to work, but same as the
otherway except for the extra settings to allow vpn through.

I block all inbound ports and 135-139, 445 going out.
