Volunteer Scheduling

I am in charge of scheduling volunteers for a non-profit organization that
holds an annual festival each year. I need a database that will record
volunteer contact information, volunteer schedules, and create various
reports. Right now I am doing this manually with pen and paper. YIKES!!! My
access skills are average, but I would like to know if there is a sample
database I can start with, especially for validating schedule overlaps. Any
help would be appreciated.

No, we are using MSOffice 2000 Pro, so Access 2000. I am currently looking
at the "Resource Scheduling" template and modifying it to our needs. I was
just hoping there was something out there a little close to what I need.

Ryan,

Here is a volunteer scheduler that is designed for churches, but I image you'd be able it for a festival as well. It includes a scheduler that takes into account peoples availability, and it also includes a web based portion that allows people to sing up for open positions and request / accept subs online.

Hope that is helpful!
