Volume Controller

I am having problems with the volume control buttons on my Dell Inspiron
600m, they just don't work. Also, in sounds and audio devices, I have Place
Volume Icon in Task Bar. However, it does not appear there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Firt aid, try to reinstall the audio drivers. Download them from the website
or get them from the drivers CDs. reboot the system and check. if it doesnt
work it might be the hardware iteself. Let me know.
