Does anybody know of a way to turn the computer volume on and change
the level through DOS? I have a Win 2000 machine whose volume is
turned off every time I reboot the machine. Want to create a batch
file that runs on startup that turns the volume on and up so I don't
have to do it manually every day.

Any advice or direction would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've found RealPlayer always resets the audio and leaves it at whatever
level it was using when it finishes running. You could set it up to run
at startup, then just close it.

Does this problem occur with all profiles? I think you want to fix the
problem instead of applying a bandage.
