Voltages for 3.3 & 1.6 latch together @ 3.008volts.

I have had 3 400+ watt power supplies burn out on my
Asus / Intel 2.53GHz P4PE system. According to my ASUS
Probe program that I have recording constantly captured
that the voltages changed at the exact same time this
command came in for the IMAPI CD-Burning COM service. The
computer was idle and had been idle for about an hour and
all suspend power management options were turned off.

9:20 9:21 9:21:30
12v 12.0 3.52 12.0
5v 5.0 5.0 5.0
3.3v 3.3 3.008 3.008
1.6v 1.6 3.008 3.008

As soon as I discovered the voltage variation I noted
everything, shut down and restarted with nominal voltages
for the past hour.
Is this IMAPI command coincidental or does anyone have an
idea why these voltages may be changing?

Are you certain that your CD burner does not have issues (short circuit, bad
internal power regulator, defective capacitor - breaking down upon use)?
That's where I would begin to look! Try a different CD burner.
