Hi,
I have built new computer, everything is working great, have a question
about using voip. I have a Dlink DSL-G604T wireless router modem, can I use
this for Voip phone calls, if so what other hardware do I need to be able to
use/set it up.
Thanks for any advice and tips
Regards
Bob

Most voip vendors send you a router that has a telephone port. It is setup
one of two ways, a telephone cable plugs into the router's phone port, and
the other end plugs into a telephone jack in the house. This powers up all
the phone jacks.

The other way is buy a cordless phone with several handsets. The main phone
plugs into the router and the other phones are distributed throughout the
house.

Some companies have a combined modem/telephone adaptor that is separate from
you computer modem. That modem plugs into a phone jack and powers up the
other phone outlets.

T-Mobile has a special Wi-Fi handset that communicates with
your VOIP-enabled PC via a Linksys Wi-Fi router or via Wi-Fi
at any hotspot. It's like having a Wi-Fi PC in a handset to make
VOIP calls. You could also just walk around with a small Wi-Fi-
enabled notebook in a backpack and do the same thing.
