Vlookup

Hi,
I am using a vlookup function to retrieve values from a anothe
spreadsheet. However not all the values that I am searching for may b
on this spreadheet. If a value is missing then the administrator wil
have to find the value elsewhere and then overtype the the vlooku
formula. This causes an issue in so far that the next time th
spreadhseet is opened the vlookup formula will be missing from one o
the cells.

Has anybody got any ideas that will allow me replace this formul
automatically when the spreadsheet is next opened?
