VLookup to an external Workbook

Hi can you help me please.

Is it possible to use a Vlookup to find data in a sheet in another
workbook. If so could someone please let me know how.

use this idea
=vlookup(a2,[yourworkbook.xls]yourworksheet!$A$6:$C$11
