VLOOKUP - Referencing seperate workbook getting #N/A erros

R

Reddo

I use the VLOOKUP function frequently where I link to a seperate workbook.
I've never had to have the source file open for the vlookup to work, but
recently, if the source workbook is not opened the function returns #N/A.
Once I open the source it works fine. I didn't change anything and don't know
why this started happening. Maybe I unknowingly changed a setting. Any help?

from what I know, if you have move the source file, it will return #N/A
check that the source file is at the same location when you create the formula

hope this can help

cheers
