Woohoo! It seems to be available (non beta) now... and free!

But is it pretty much useless if my Web host doesn't support Framework
2.0? What a tease!

John

Oh, this also applies to VB.NET 2005 Express (the free one). It's out
now (woohoo!) but end users need the framework 2.0 to run the program.
2.0 isn't out. Is is supposed to be out soon?

Thanks!
John

Thanks! I didn't realize it was out. I use ActiveHost.com. They were
one of the first to implement asp.net. I can't find info on their site
about 2.0, so I just sent tech support an email.

John

You are so right. It is Microsoft's fault that some ISPs have not
immediately upgraded to 2.0. They need to go out there and force them to
upgrade. :-)

While said a bit tongue in cheek, this is something out of the control of
the product builder. There are, however, ISPs that have 2.0 installed today.
Not all. Likely not even most, but some.

My web host is ASP.NET 2.0 enabled!! It's a good thing i contacted
them. They only "enable" it if you request it. Now i'm going to
download and play w/ visual web developer!! :)
