Visual Studio Team Edition 2005

tIs there a better newsgroup for VS 2005 team edition?
In my solution I have jpgs, text files and XML files etc. I can open these
files with a right click. If I try to double click I get nothing but an Hour
glass and I have to restart visual studio.
Sometimes it is hard to remember that a double click leads to a disaster in
VS 2005 Team edition.
What can I do to fix the problem?

Open VS. Right click on the file type in question and click Open With. Make
sure the proper tool is set up as default by clicking on it and clicking
the Select as Default button.

If this does not work, I am not sure what is going on.

Ok.
I set set as default. That works a little bit better unless I try to open a
gif file with Microsoft Paint.
Thanks.

Your welcome. Not sure I can help with MSPaint. One option is paint.net,
which is an open source, photoshop lite like tool you can download. Not
sure if it will cause issues with VS, however, as I rarely launch other
apps from within VS, so I have not tested it.
