Visual Studio 2005 versus Visual Web Developer

Hi,

I am a newbee and wanted to ask you a question concearning Visual Web
Developer. It was described as "light weighted", but having positively
experimented with it I don't understand what am I missing by not having
Visual Studio 2005. The object ist to develop a large web application using
..Net Framework 2.0 and Atlas. Do I really need Visual Studio 2005 for that
or Visual Web Developer is enough?
