Visual Basic ERROR: Component not registered

Hi...

well...when i execute Power Point 9 windows with this error message appear:

Visual Basic
Component not completely registered.

I tried removing Power Point, rebooting XP, reinstalling, installing all the
extras, removing power point references with regedit but nothing.

Any idea to solve this without formating hard disk??

Thanks in advance...regards...and Merry Christmas

A couple of things come to mind to try and narrow down the problem (which
sounds like some sort of add-in problem):

1. Open PowerPoint, click ALT+F11 to enter the VBE window. Click the
"Tools" menu and select "References". There will be a few items towards the
top that are checked. Does any of them say "Missing"? If so, report back.

2. Open PowerPoint, click "Tools", "Add-ins..". Do you have any add-ins
listed (and checked)? If so, report back.

That's right...!!!

Thank you very much Bill...

the problem has been solved with your second suggestion. There was a pdf
component and after removing it the error window never came again.

Thanks again and Merry Christmas...
