Vista's Desktop and Taskbar

My Desktop, Task Bar and Start Up have disappeared. Rebooting or restoring
does not work. All my files, programs etc seem to be there, just takes a few
extra steps to access. Help????

If you can access, say, the Documents folder, type regedit.exe <enter>
in the addressbar. The Registry Editor should startup.
Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Double click the shell string on the right, change the data value to
just explorer.exe and click OK. Close the Registry Editor and restart.
