Vista64bit and 32bit software

If you have hardware that is Vista 64bit ready, can 32bit software and games
run under Vista64? Or should I wait a little longer to upgrade from XP
32bit?

Thank you;
David

Yes, you can.

Yes, you can.

Except, as I have found, when you get a message "contact the vendor for a
64bit compatible version of this program".
Programs that is fine under XP 32bit.
When you contact them you find some vendors don't seem to be
providing 64bit Vista versions, or only for some of their programs,
but not the one you want, then you are stuck.

Principely 64-bit Windows can work with 32-bit programs. Maybe
there are programs with a problem, but it's not necessary.

Hi, David.

I've been running Vista Ultimate x64 RTM for over a year now and all my
32-bit programs run just fine. ;<)

But I'm not a gamer, so I don't know which games may have problems.
