I know already what some will say: this is a news group for troubleshooting.
This is true! I just wanted to share some good news! The truth of the matter
is that I must admit some of my processor intensive applications are running
faster with Vista. Especially some games, I am getting consistent frame
rates at a higher average. I have definetely noticed that Vista makes better
usage of the dual processor environment. Across the board many resource
hungry apps are running better. The only change on any of my pc's being the
upgrade to Vista from XP. In fact I have yet to find software I own to be
incompatible with Vista. It takes some tinkering to get some apps to work
properly. I believe I made a post in another subject with some suggestions.
I just wanna say there is hope, just because something (especially legacy
software) does not work the first time you try it, does not mean that it
will not work! Overall I really like the changes Vista brings, one really
needs to spend the time to learn the new OS. I remember that I grumbled to
myself when XP came out, it was a big change, especially because I upgraded
from Win98SE to XP. I completely missed win2k and win me. And by the way, MS
Office 2007 has totally changed, and it is growing on me fast. I bought it
this weekend. DONT GIVE UP Y'ALL, VISTA IS SOME GOOD STUFF! In my humble
opinion MS has done well.
