vista/xp network printer

Hi, recently bought a notebook with Vista home premium. I connected
this to my existing home network = 2 pcs running xp home sp2. This
worked fine, all files I share are visible from all computers. I have
two printers I share on this network. I easily connected one to my
notebook but whenever I try to do the other I get the message windows
can not connect, access denied. What could be the problem? Both PCs
use AVG free edition with Windows Firewall, there is no other
firewall. I can't figure why one would work and the other not.....the
working one is a Canon i550, the non-working a HP PSC 1500.

Any help appreciated.

I suspect that this is a Vista specific problem. Try using the XP driver
for Vista, it often works. Vista does not support older printers, network
cards, SCSI adapters, display cards, etc., Often, but certainly not
always, w2K or XP drivers will work (about half the time from what i have
been reading).
YMMV

Any luck? I have the exact same problem. One xp desktop with the printer, and
one vista laptop that keeps getting access denied, everytime you try and
connect to the shared HP printer. xp laptop connects, no problem.

Thanks
