Vista wont recognize my wireless network

I've recently purchased a Dell Inspiron and I'm trying to connect to a
wireless network. Two other people are connected, one through a LAN line and
one via wireless, both succsesfully. It's a standard linksys router, and
when we set it up I had problems connecting to it. The problem was that my
computer didn't recognize the network as being broadcast at all, nor did it
see another network from a neighboor that my roomates computer was also
picking up. Well I tried various things, none of which worked, until after a
couple days, it just suddenly recognized the network and connected. It's
been fine for about a week and a half and all of a sudden it doesn't see any
wirless network at all again. Right now I'm connecting through a LAN cable,
but that's not going to work in the long run. Does anyone know why it
wouldn't be able to see any of the networks at all? I've tried repairing it
several times, disabling and enabling, restarting, pretty much everything I
can think of, and everything on the suggested Windows to do list. I know
that the network works and that my computer can find it, it's just not right
now.
